North Dallas Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to establish and lead Internal Medicine services at our growing specialty and emergency hospital in Frisco, Texas. This is an opportunity to shape a service around your clinical interests while having the infrastructure, support, and referral relationships of an established emergency and specialty hospital behind you.
Our brand-new, 13,000+ square-foot hospital was designed to support advanced medicine and complex patient care. he facility features two advanced surgical suites, dedicated critical care and ICU space, a separate feline ICU, six-plus priate exam rooms, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, a 32-slice CT, diagnostic ultrasound, on-site dialysis and endoscopy, and separate gastroenterology and respiratory isolation wards.
You'll work alongside an experienced Emergency and Critical Care team and collaborate with Surgery and our Nephrology & Urology and Dialysis & Extracorporeal Therapy services. The hospital also partners with Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center to provide access to board-certified surgeons on-site, creating a strong foundation for multidisciplinary care.

In your day-to-day, you will:
• Establish and lead Internal Medicine services at North Dallas Veterinary Emergency & Specialty.
• Manage a diverse caseload of complex medical cases while developing a service around your clinical interests.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic capabilities including CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and on-site dialysis resources.
• Collaborate closely with Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Nephrology & Urology, and other clinical services to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Develop strong relationships with referring veterinarians and help establish NDVESH as a trusted specialty resource throughout the North Dallas community.
• Explore opportunities to expand the Internal Medicine service based on patient needs and your areas of interest.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Residency Trained in Internal Medicine.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.
