Customer Success ManagerRole Summary
We are seeking a Customer Success Manager to join our Tokyo office, focusing on LSEG's Analytics and Quants solutions, including Yield Book and Quantitative Analytics.
In this role, you will partner with a wide range of financial institutions across Japan-including asset managers, banks-to maximize the value of LSEG Data & Analytics by embedding them into clients' investment and risk workflows.
You will work closely with client-side quant, risk, and investment teams, helping them optimize how they use data and analytics in daily decision-making. Internally, you will collaborate with Sales, Product Specialists, and global teams to deliver impactful solutions and drive long-term customer success.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of finance and technology, and who are motivated by solving real-world client challenges through data and analytics. While prior experience in analytics or quantitative workflows is beneficial, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and develop their expertise in this space.
Role Responsibilities
- Build long-term trusted advisor relationships with key clients, from senior stakeholders to end users
- Drive retention and growth by identifying opportunities to expand usage of LSEG analytics solutions
- Partner with Sales Specialists and Account Managers on client strategy, solution positioning, and commercial activities
- Lead client engagements such as workshops and solution discussions focused on analytics use cases and workflow optimization
- Understand client investment processes, risk frameworks, and decision-making workflows to identify value creation opportunities
- Analyze client usage patterns and proactively identify opportunities to enhance value through data, analytics, and API capabilities
- Support client onboarding and adoption, ensuring successful integration of LSEG solutions into daily workflows
- Develop subject matter expertise in LSEG Analytics and Quants solutions, and stay current with market trends
- Build strong internal relationships across global teams to deliver seamless client experience
- Capture and communicate client feedback to product and business teams, contributing to solution innovation and roadmap development
- Collaborate with Client Services (Help Desk) to ensure high-quality support and issue resolution

- Exposure to advanced analytics, fixed income models, and evolving data & API-driven investment workflows
- A highly collaborative global environment, working across regions and functions
- The ability to influence how data and analytics are used in modern portfolio management and risk analysis
- 3-7 years of experience in financial services, fintech, or related fields
- Strong understanding of financial markets, with exposure to fixed income or risk analytics
- Experience working with analytics, quantitative workflows, or financial data solutions
- Proven ability to engage with clients and build trusted relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and structure complex client needs
- Strong team player and independent worker with ability to take ownership and responsibility
- Able to prioritize tasks and maintain a professional approach under pressure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Japanese (native level) and English (business level)
- Familiarity with APIs, cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), or data workflows
- Programming or data handling experience (Python, SQL, JSON)
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or related disciplines
