Retina Partners Midwest, a 25+ year retina-only practice in Indianapolis, is seeking a retina specialist to join our growing team in 2026 or 2027. We welcome experienced retina surgeons and also encourage exceptional fellowship graduates with strong clinical and surgical skills to apply.

Guaranteed salary with bonus beginning in year 1
Call averages approximately 7 weeks per year
Minimal travel to 2 nearby satellite locations, each within 45 minutes
New custom-designed 40,000-square-foot facility opened in 2025
Benefit from a broader Midwest Eye Institute network that includes 7 additional retina specialists and 17 ophthalmic subspecialists, including cornea, glaucoma, and oculoplastics
Research & Innovation
Established clinical trials program with more than a dozen active retinal studies
Strong in-house research department and infrastructure
Electrophysiology and genetic testing available on site
Opportunity to participate in research and teaching, if desired

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a skilled, collaborative retina specialist with strong clinical judgment, sound surgical training, and a commitment to excellent patient care. Experienced surgeons are welcome, and outstanding 2026 and 2027 fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply.
Start Date: September 2026, though timing can be tailored for the best candidate.

Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered retina care
- Collaborative work style and ability to thrive in a retina-focused practice
- Strong work ethic, sound clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills
- Eligibility for Indiana medical licensure
- Interest in clinical research is welcomed, but not required
- Interest in building a long-term practice in Indianapolis
