Job Description: We are seeking a fellowship trained Retina Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both medical and surgical retina, providing top-notch care to patients with a variety of retinal conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and more.
- Perform advanced surgical procedures such as vitrectomy, retinal detachment repair, and macular hole surgery.
- Conduct comprehensive medical retina evaluations and administer treatments like intravitreal injections and laser therapy.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of retinal care.
- Educate patients and their families about retinal conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology.
- Fellowship training in Retina (both medical and surgical).
- Valid medical license to practice in North Carolina or willingness to obtain one.
- Clinical and surgical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
