Within the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, medical operations are not abstract concepts. As a Medical Clinical Operations Specialist with Choctaw Contracting Services, you step into a trusted role supporting the Command Surgeon and senior leadership. You are part strategist, part operator, and part problem solver. Your work ensures that medical operations, contingency planning, and readiness initiatives are synchronized, informed, and responsive to mission demands across CONUS and OCONUS locations. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Medical Operations and Command Support:Serve as a Medical Operations Specialist supporting Health Service Support programs, contingency planning, and medical readiness initiatives across INSCOM.Act as the principal adviser to commanders at all levels on field medical operations, evacuation, and health services planning.Represent the Command Surgeon at assigned meetings, conferences, and working groups, ensuring medical equities are clearly communicated and addressed.Manage daily operations of the Surgeon's Office in the absence of the Command Surgeon and Executive Officer. Planning, Analysis, and Coordination:Analyze, develop, prepare, and present staff actions, briefings, information papers, read aheads, executive summaries, and correspondence for senior leadership.Track ongoing actions and coordinate Surgeon's Office taskings across headquarters staff elements, subordinate commands, and external Army and DoD organizations.Review and validate operational plans, medical readiness taskings, and health surveillance reports, ensuring timely dissemination across the command.Research medical support requirements and translate Army and DoD medical guidance into actionable direction for INSCOM installations. Operational Engagement and Readiness:Engage with Army and MEDCOM Emergency Operations Centers to reconcile information affecting force health protection.Monitor deployed INSCOM medical personnel and assess readiness impacts of deployments on Soldiers and beneficiaries.Review mobilization plans and requests, ensuring medical staffing and personnel support align with operational needs.Assess health care impacts related to deployments and advise leadership on readiness and force health protection strategies. Program Management and Oversight:Coordinate and administer non personal services contracts supporting the Command Surgeon's Office, serving as a Contracting Officer's Representative as required.Coordinate Memorandums of Understanding and Memorandums of Agreement with MEDCOM and other partners to support joint medical initiatives.Summarize and submit lessons learned to the Center for Army Lessons Learned.Maintain classified materials and manage classified communications in compliance with applicable regulations. Specialized Medical Coordination:Attend health threat related meetings and provide guidance on chemical, biological, radiological, toxic industrial chemical, and toxic industrial material issues.Coordinate medical surveillance activities with the Office of the Surgeon General, Army Public Health Center, and federal and state health agencies.Support relocation and continuity planning for the Command Surgeon's Office as directed by leadership. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Education:Bachelor's degree in health education, public health, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field required.Master's degree in health education, public health, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field preferred. Experience:Extensive experience serving as a principal adviser on medical operations, evacuation, and health services planning.Demonstrated experience coordinating staff functions related to medical operations, intelligence, security, and training.Experience supporting headquarters level medical operations in MTOE or TDA organizations, both CONUS and OCONUS. Clearance Requirements:Active Secret security clearance required. TOP Secret/SCI eligibility requiredTS/SCI preferred Skills & Competencies:Mastery of medical operations concepts, principles, and practices.Comprehensive knowledge of medical programs, contingency planning, and readiness operations.Strong understanding of planning, directing, controlling, and monitoring processes for evaluating medical operations and programs.Ability to prepare and deliver executive level briefings and written products for senior leadership.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in complex operational environments. WORK CONDITIONS: Location:INSCOM-supported locations (assignment dependent on contract award and mission needs. Schedule:Standard duty hours with flexibility to support operational requirements and leadership engagements
