Description
The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a part-time clinical supervisor within the Clinical Psychology Center with a start date of January 1, 2026. This position entails leading weekly 3-hour group supervision meetings with clinical psychology doctoral students who are providing individual psychotherapy to adults. Clinical supervisors provide teaching and supervision utilizing an Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) framework during group supervision meetings, as well as additional consultation and report-writing feedback with students on an as-needed basis.
Minimum qualifications include: having a PhD in Clinical Psychology, an active license to practice as a psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania, previous training, and at least 8 years' experience providing IPT treatment, and at least 5 years of experience providing clinical supervision and training in IPT. Candidates with a research background, and those with training and experience that demonstrate a multicultural orientation to clinical practice and treating individuals from diverse backgrounds, are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Clinical Psychology Program endorses a clinical scientist training model, has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1948, is a charter member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, and has been accredited by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) since 2013.
