Clinical / Academic – Fulltime Positions Available

We have been recognized internationally and nationally for outstanding patient care, treatment of eye trauma, and crucial research in eye disease. - Over 2,500 laser procedures annually
Responsibilities:
- This position is full-time, tenure earning at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Responsibilities include patient care, with opportunities for didactic and clinical teaching as well as basic and clinical research. - We seek a highly collaborative individual who has a desire to participate in all three mission areas, including the opportunity to develop a research program.
- There is immediate need to engage in a robust clinical environment within UAB Callahan Eye.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have graduated from a fully accredited ophthalmology residency program and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Alabama.
- Candidates must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
- Additional subspecialty residency or fellowship training is a plus.
- In addition, physicians and other clinical faculty candidates who will be employed by the University of Alabama Ophthalmology Services Foundation (OSF), must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and nicotine screen to be hired.
