Searching for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer Specialist to join our team in Chicago, IL.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Collaborate with risk stakeholders to assess workflows and identify areas for AI-driven productivity improvements.
- Design and implement AI-based solutions, including automation tools and intelligent agents using platforms such as Co-Pilot / Co-Pilot Studio.
- Develop and optimize prompts for LLMs to ensure accurate , context-aware outputs for business use cases.
- Provide guidance on best practices for prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs for enterprise applications.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to promote adoption of AI solutions among risk teams.
- Operate independently and interact with senior management and committees to present AI opportunities and outcomes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Engineering , or a related quantitative field.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in AI, automation, or related technology roles.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT) and prompt engineering techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/automation libraries and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Co-Pilot Studio and GenAI concepts.
- Strong understanding of AI solution lifecycle management, including deployment and monitoring.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
